The XI Class Admission 2026 applications are open from 2 September to 10 September 2026. The Admission opens the doors to colleges across Bangladesh for eligible candidates. Anyone who passed SSC or an equivalent exam in 2024, 2025 or 2026 can apply. There is no written admission test. Your college is decided by your SSC result and the choices you list, nothing else.

The Ministry of Education runs the whole process through one website, www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd. No college can admit a student outside it, and none of them run their own entrance test.

XI Class Admission 2026

The Ministry of Education published the XI Class admission circular on the DSHE website. It sets the eligibility rules, the fees, the merit policy and the calendar that every college has to follow.

One application covers everything. You list a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 colleges in the order you want them, pay once, and wait for the merit list. Within a single college you can pick more than one shift, version and group, but each of those counts as a separate choice against your ten.

The merit list is built from SSC results alone. Public and private colleges both work under the same centralised system, and the portal shows each institution by division, district and area along with its seat count and minimum GPA.

What is xiclassadmission.gov.bd?

xiclassadmission.gov.bd is the national portal for Class XI admission in Bangladesh. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education runs it under the Ministry of Education, and every college that offers HSC takes its students through it.

There are no separate college forms to collect. You fill in one application on the portal, pay the fee once, and the system places you against your GPA. A college cannot admit you privately, and it cannot ask you to sit a test first.

Important Dates

Every deadline below is final. The portal closes at the stated hour and does not reopen for late applicants.

Eligibility, GPA and Group Selection

Applicants must meet the minimum academic criteria before submitting an application. Candidates from all Bangladesh education boards and recognized equivalent boards are eligible if they passed their SSC or equivalent exams in 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Colleges establish minimum GPA criteria based on study groups such as Science, Humanities, or Business Studies. Review individual college requirements on the portal before applying.

• Hold Bangladeshi citizenship or equivalent status.
• Have passed SSC or an equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• Meet the minimum GPA and subject-wise criteria required by the selected college and group.

Which group can you take in Class XI?

Your SSC group decides which HSC groups are open to you. You can move down, but not up.

• SSC Science: Science, Humanities or Business Studies. Science students may switch to any group.
• SSC Humanities: Humanities or Business Studies. Science is not available.
• SSC Business Studies: Business Studies or Humanities. Science is not available.

Each college sets its own minimum GPA for each group and the portal prints that figure beside the college name. A Science seat at a well-known Dhaka college may need GPA 5.00 while the same college takes a much lower GPA for Humanities, so check the group you actually want rather than the college average.

Seat quota for XI Class Admission 2026

Quota seats that nobody claims go back into open merit. You do not prove a quota at the application stage. The college checks your certificate on admission day.

How to Apply for XI Class Admission

The whole application happens online at xiclassadmission.gov.bd between 2 and 10 September 2026. Set aside twenty minutes and have your marksheet in front of you before you start.

1. Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd and start a new application.
2. Enter your SSC roll number, registration number, board and passing year.
3. Check the personal details the portal pulls up against your marksheet: name, date of birth, gender and subject marks.
4. Choose your colleges, at least 5 and no more than 10, setting the group, shift and version for each.
5. Read the preference order back once before you submit. It cannot be changed after payment.
6. Pay the 220 BDT application fee through Sonali Sheba, SSLCOMMERZ, bKash, Nagad or Rocket.
7. Download the application summary and the payment slip.

XI Class Admission Login 2026

There is no username and password at the application stage. You log in with four details taken straight off your SSC result:

• SSC roll number
• SSC registration number
• Education board
• Passing year, 2024, 2025 or 2026

Get one of them wrong and the portal says “no result found” without telling you which field is at fault. Read them off the marksheet rather than from memory.

If the portal will not let you in

• “Result not found”. Usually the wrong board in the dropdown. Madrasah and Technical candidates often pick a general board by mistake.
• Board challenge pending. If your re-scrutiny result changed, the portal may still be holding the old record. Use the 12 to 13 September window instead.
• Paid, but the application is not showing. SSLCOMMERZ and bKash can take up to 30 minutes to post. Wait and refresh. Do not pay again.
• Session expires halfway through. The portal times out. Write your college list down on paper before you log in.

XI Class Admission College List 2026

There is no single college list to download. You browse it live on the portal, narrowing by division, then district, then thana, and filtering by group, version and shift. Each college shows its EIIN code, its seat count per group and the lowest GPA it will accept.

How to order your five to ten choices

The order matters more than most applicants realise, because migration only ever moves you up your own list.

• Put your reach college first. A college you did not rank can never be offered to you later, no matter how many seats open up there.
• Do not fill all ten with top colleges. If your GPA clears none of them you are placed nowhere and lose the round.
• Treat shift and version as separate choices. Morning and day shift at the same college are two entries, and so are Bangla and English version.
• Keep a safe college at the bottom, one whose minimum GPA sits comfortably below yours.

Competition is heaviest at the well-known Dhaka institutions. Past cut-offs at colleges like Notre Dame College and Holy Cross College give a realistic picture of the GPA those seats demand.

XI Class Admission Fee 2026

Three payments sit between you and a college seat. Only the first two are fixed nationally.

• Application fee, 220 BDT. One payment covers all five to ten choices. Sonali Sheba, SSLCOMMERZ, bKash, Nagad or Rocket.
• Confirmation fee, 335 BDT. Paid after you are selected, to hold the seat.
• College admission fee, 1,500 to 8,500 BDT. Set by the college but capped by the board according to where it is and whether it is MPO-listed.

No college may charge above the figure for its category. Private colleges have to publish their admission fee, monthly tuition and other charges on the notice board and website before admission opens. If you are asked for more than the table allows, that is a board violation and you can report it.

XI Class Admission Result 2026

The merit list comes out on 17 September 2026 at 8:00 PM. Your position on it depends on your SSC GPA, your subject marks and how many seats the colleges you picked actually have.

How to Check XI Class Admission Result 2026

The result screen shows which college you got, which group you were placed in and what to do next.

1. Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd.
2. Click the View Result link.
3. Enter your SSC roll number, registration number, board and passing year.
4. Complete the security check.
5. Submit to see your allotment.
6. Note the college and move on to confirmation.

Selected students also get an SMS on the mobile number given during the application. The portal is under heavy load at 8:00 PM on result night, so if it will not open, wait a few minutes rather than reloading repeatedly.

XI Admission Confirmation 2026 (নিশ্চায়ন)

Confirmation closes at 8:00 PM on 19 September 2026. Miss it and the system cancels your selection and your original application together. You are not carried into a later round. You are out of the cycle.

Log in to the portal with the same credentials you used to apply and fill in the confirmation form.

1. Log in to xiclassadmission.gov.bd with your application credentials.
2. Complete the online seat confirmation form.
3. Pay the 335 BDT confirmation fee by mobile banking or online payment.
4. Decide whether to leave auto-migration switched on.

What auto-migration actually does

Leave it on and the system keeps trying to move you up your own preference list in the later rounds. Your confirmed seat stays held the whole time, so you cannot end up with nothing. Turn it off and the college you have now is final. Our step by step confirmation guide walks through each screen.

After you confirm

• Print the confirmation slip. The college asks for it on admission day.
• Report to the college between 20 and 22 September with your SSC marksheet, registration card, testimonial and photographs.
• Pay the college admission fee then, not before.

XI Class Admission Migration 2026

Migration is how the system moves you closer to your first choice after the initial placement. When a student ahead of you gives up a seat at a college you ranked higher than your current one, you slide into it automatically.

It only moves upward, it only looks at colleges already on your preference list, and it only runs if you left auto-migration on when you confirmed. You never apply for it and you never pay again.

Because your confirmed seat is held throughout, there is no risk in leaving migration switched on. The one reason to turn it off is that you are genuinely happy with the college you already have and would rather not be moved.
