The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has published the revised SSC Routine 2027 on August 24, 2026. According to the new routine, the SSC exam 2027 will start on March 14, 2027 and end on April 15, 2027, and all practical exams must be finished by April 22, 2027. Every exam will begin at 10:00 AM. About 2 million students from 9 general education boards, along with Dakhil and Vocational candidates, will sit for this exam. SSC Routine 2027
The SSC Routine 2027 has been published by the Bangladesh education board on 24 August 2026. This routine is applicable to all 9 general education boards. The Dakhil routine and SSC Vocational routine will be published separately by the Madrasah and Technical Education Board.
If you are an SSC 2027 candidate, it is important to note that this is the second routine published for your batch. The first one, published on 15 August 2026, had the exam starting on 7 January 2027. That routine has been cancelled. Do not follow any January dates you may still see on other websites.

About SSC and Equivalent Exam
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) is the first public exam of your life and the result of this exam decides which college you get into. As a student in Bangladesh, your SSC GPA follows you into college admission, and later into university and job applications. That is why the routine matters so much — you need to know exactly how many days you have between each paper.
Nine general education boards conduct the SSC exam: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Jessore, Comilla, Barisal, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Dinajpur. All nine boards follow the same routine, the same subject codes and the same exam time.
Two more boards hold the equivalent exams on their own routine:
- Dakhil exam — conducted by the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (BMEB)
- SSC Vocational and Dakhil Vocational — conducted by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB)
One important change is coming in 2027. For the first time, all education boards will use the same question paper. Until now every board set its own questions from the same syllabus, which is why pass rates were different from board to board. From 2027 the madrasah and technical boards will also join this common question system for compulsory and general subjects.

Exam Hall Rules and Instructions
The official SSC Routine 2027 notice lists 14 instructions. As you prepare for your SSC exam, keep these important instructions in mind.
- Take your seat in the exam room at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
- The exam will be conducted according to the time printed on the question paper.
- The MCQ exam comes first, then the creative (theory) exam — and there is no break between the two.
- Collect your admit card from your head of institution at least 7 days before the exam starts.
- Marks for Physical Education, Health Science and Sports and Career Education come from continuous assessment. Your institution sends these to the centre, and the centre submits them online with the practical marks.
- Fill in your roll number, registration number and subject code on the OMR sheet properly and darken the circles fully. Never fold your answer script.
- You must pass separately in the creative, MCQ and practical parts.
- You can only sit for the subjects written on your registration card. No exceptions.
- Admit card distribution must be finished 7 days before the exam. The head of institution is responsible if there is any problem.
- You may use a calculator approved by the education board.
- No mobile phones. Only the centre secretary is allowed to carry one inside the exam centre.
- The same attendance sheet is used for the creative, MCQ and practical exams.
- Practical exams are held at your own centre.
- Apply for re-scrutiny online within 7 days of the result. The board will announce the process and dates in the newspapers and on board websites.
What to bring on exam day
- Admit card — your entry ticket to the exam hall, always carry it
- Registration card — keep it with you as additional identification
- Black ballpoint pen — use this for writing your answers
- Geometry box — necessary for Mathematics and Higher Mathematics
- Board-approved calculator — only for subjects where it is allowed
Do not bring any electronic device, especially your mobile phone. Every year students are expelled for this. Follow the seating arrangement given by the invigilators, and read all instructions on the question paper before you start writing.
