The 19 universities mentioned beforehand also includes 7 agricultural universities that have already been taking a combined admission test since previous sessions. GST Admission 2023-24 System
In the GST admission system, five exams will be held in total. Among them, three for general public universities and science and technology universities (Science, Humanities and Business Studies), one for engineering universities, and one for agricultural universities. This will reduce the hassle of traveling across the country to sit in all the admission tests for the students and guardians.
Exams will be held based on the syllabus of HSC and ICT will be the common subject for each group. Candidates need to answer 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on different subjects where some subjects will be compulsory and some others will be optional.
After the assessment, qualified students will be put on a merit list. Once the result gets published, universities can individually decide the required minimum number to get admitted and it might vary from one university to another.
Those who have passed HSC in 2022 or 2023 can apply for GST admission but it will depend on universities whether they will consider candidates passing HSC in 2023 eligible which will be factual on their admission circulars.
In addition, universities will also individually decide how much GPA from the SSC and HSC exams are they going to take into consideration. A required minimum GPA has been declared to be eligible for the GST admission test which we will discuss in the next section.
