In the GST admission system, five exams will be held in total. Among them, three for general public universities and science and technology universities (Science, Humanities and Business Studies), one for engineering universities, and one for agricultural universities. Exams will be held based on the syllabus of HSC and ICT will be the common subject for each group. Candidates need to answer 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on different subjects where some subjects will be compulsory and some others will be optional.

After the assessment, qualified students will be put on a merit list. Once the result gets published, universities can individually decide the required minimum number to get admitted and it might vary from one university to another.
