The primary scholarship test was held on December 30, 2022, according to an inter-ministerial conference held at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. Later same day, on December 30, a scholarship test was held for 20% of the students in the order of merit based on the results of the fifth class annual examination, which was held concurrently across the country.
The scholarship test is held in four Bangla subjects: elementary mathematics, English, and elementary science. This year’s test drew 4 lakh 83 thousand 759 candidates. The exam had a total of 100 points and lasted 2 hours.
There are two tiers of the Primary Scholarship program: Talentpool Scholarship and General Grade Scholarship. The Talentpool Scholarship is given to the best students in the Primary Education Completion (PEC) test, which is given at the conclusion of fifth grade. The scholarship covers the kids’ tuition, exam fees, and other relevant expenditures for the first two years of their study in grades six and seven. The General Grade Scholarship, on the other hand, is given to students who performed well in the PEC exams but were not chosen for the Talentpool Scholarship. The scholarship also covers the pupils’ tuition and other expenditures for the first two years of their study in grades six and seven.
